To all in VPI-Land

I hope this post is not against any Forum rules for posting, but I received an email via Legacy Records concerning raising funds to assist Jimmy Cobb, a legendary Jazz drummer who was with Miles Davis, and recorded on the "Kind of Blue" LP, which is still the largest selling Jazz LP EVER! You can find the details of this story at

BTW, I received this information through an email from Legacy Records. Thank you all.

Jimmy Cobb, the last great drummer still standing from the greatest era of jazz. He has provided us all with great moments on so many recordings including the best selling jazz album of all time, Miles' Kind of Blue. Even today he is a huge contributor to the live jazz scene in New York City. I've heard him play many times at Smoke Jazz in the Upper West Side.

I gave the minute I saw MMMC's post. I hope more do the same.
