Fellow Forum members,

I can't be the only member actually "USING" their turntable! No one has added an LP since my last post over a month ago now. Well, I'm going to keep playing music (mostly modern jazz, but not always) and posting what I hope will be good for your ears and exercise for your VPI turntable.

MMMC, please keep posting your LP recommendations. I’ve bought many of the albums that you have highlighted on this forum.

A live double album well worth the $50 entry fee.

MMIC,

I'm with BRF. As you know I've seconded your choices frequently. You have excellent taste (we have a lot of the same albums). I totally love the Gil Evans Tone Poet pick. I think Don Was is doing a fine job at Blue Note. Like BRF, I have also purchased some of your picks.

Keep it up!!!!!!

Thanks,

Alan

Ps.Adding this edit. Confused your album with the recent Tone Poet release. Just picked up Hidden Treasures from Amazon.

Here's one for MMIC and everybody. New BlueNote Tone Poet release. Really terrific album plus you get Cannonball on alto.

Ok, so it's not an LP, It's a sample of what little jazz I really like. I'm lovin' it. All you jazz guys, where can I get more? Thanks.

I recently (within the hour) listened to The Yes Album, Promotional DJ copy. Atlantic SD 8283. I got it used locally but it cleaned up almost to mint. I never heard them live, but I was reminded why I loved rock in the 80 (?) so much! The bass and vocal harmony is just amazing.
