VPI Prime tonearm lead length?

VPI Prime tonearm lead length?

Postby Pythonman » Mon Aug 12, 2019 5:31 pm

What is the lead wires length supposed to be for the Prime 3D arm ? Mine is roughly 6.5” from the top of the pivot housing to the bottom of the Lemo connector. A friends Prime lead is about an inch shorter making it impossible to zero out the antiskate. It’s always pulling the arm away from the spindle. He can’t twist the wires a turn because when he does he can not reinsert the Lemo connector into its jack. He sent the arm to VPI and someone there is telling him the lead is the standard length already. But it doesn’t work!

Mine measures 7" from the tonearm to where it enters the Lemo connector, 8 1/2" counting the Lemo connector.

Okay thanks guys. So my friends issue is totally being taken care of by VPI as I would have expected. Don’t know if there was a confusion about the issue or whatever but it sounds like he’s gonna have his Prime back in service soon.

Thanks again!
