HW19 MKIV w/ Rockport 'arm

Postby Saburo » Fri Feb 17, 2017 2:47 pm

I just acquired this table and have a few questions I'll post in the support forum about the SAMA motor location, suspension height, blank armboards, etc. In the mean time I've mocked up the Rockport 6000 arm I have lying around, I cant wait to get it up and running. :D

Nice turntable. I believe Rockport designed a linear tracking tonearm made specifically for the VPI TNT in the 90's .

This arm was originally developed by Andy Payor for his entry level 'table the Capella. He later spun off the 6000 as a stand alone arm for those that wanted to use them on other tables. Mikey (fremer) used this arm as his reference (on his then VPI TNT) until it was displaced by the Immedia RPM-2 arm. It does marry with the TNT perfectly I have a custom panzerhlolz TNT armboard for this 'arm.
