Thanks Bud - will give this a try later in the week as I am all out of ideas on how to fix the woofer pumping otherwise...

Vin,

My rumble/woofer pumping started when I changed equipment racks. Another member over on another forum had posted a similar issue and he resolved it by bracing his rack/shelf to the wall. Even though my table sits on a SRA platform, the whole shelf moves pretty easy and apparently just the force the 20lb platter generates by spinning causes enough movement to the shelf that the cart picks it up. I still haven't gotten around to addressing the problem but it makes complete sense to me. Just a thought.....

At the show in Montreal two years ago the head of Moon came in, saw the woofers pumping, told us to change the EQ to IEC and it was gone.

Thanks everyone - I'll be looking to make that change to IEC soon and fingers crossed!!! :D

BTW, does anyone have any thoughts on my low riding VAS Nova - I assume it's normal but wanted to get some thoughts on some other VAS NOVA users.

Thanks again guys - not sure where I would be without you all...

Cheers,
Vin.

Its hard to tell from the picture but it looks like you have a gap at the back of the cart,, I had a 3D tone arm that the head shell was warped bad,,Take the cart off and use a straight edge and check that it is flat,,,Just a thought,,

That is exactly how mine looks and my headshell is perfectly flat.

It does not look like a low rider to me.

Is your arm truly parallel to the vinyl? Hard to tell from the picture, but your arm looks a bit dropped at the back, and that affects VTA/SRA.

The cantilever looks good though. Low riders generally look like their suspension has failed. Yours does not.

Harry wrote:That actually works but the shims are better. The shims have to be made in a milling machine which is so busy with Avenger parts and prime chassis I am trying to get in there but it is hard to break out the other items just to make the shims. It will come though when we catch up.

So Harry did you make shims yet,,Would love to try one Thanks Tim
