Is the A-95 overkill for an Aries 3x3 Harry? I am currently using an Ortofon cadenza Black

Not at all. The Aries 3 and 3D arm can extract all the information provided by high-end cartridges. I believe that Marc has a A95 cartridge on his Aries 3.

Yes, I do have an A95 on my Aries 3D and I love it! It was a HUGE step up from my Quintet Black.

There are very few cartridges as clean, as detailed, and as smooth as the A-95. Unless you have an Atlas or some other $12K cartridge it will be a real upgrade.

I don't want anyone to contact me next year and say "Do you have an A-95 laying around" so remember, when they are gone they are gone. If you do not have the cash right now but really want one just send a deposit and I will hold it for two months. Seriously, when they are gone, they are gone.

I do have an Atlas on my 10" 3D, it sounds magnificent. :D

You are very lucky! As the contenders come and go in the end the Atlas is still king. I must admit though the Audio Technica ART-1000 give sit a run for clarity and transparency and may even be a bit better but the Atlas combines that with body and soundstage unrivaled at this point.

I bought an Orto A95 (and extra 10" 3D arm) from Harry and finally got the cartridge mounted and set up via the Dr Feikert Gen II this past weekend. I promptly put it back in my tone arm case for safe keeping until I need it or feel the need to compare to my currently used Orto Cadenza Black. Now, if I could just mount two arms on my Aries 3x3.
