All that being said a Classic 3/4 with HR-X pulley, ADS power supply, and three belts is pretty hard to beat. The magnetic drive gives you an advantage of absolutely no motor or belt noise entering the system as the magnetic drive filters all that out.

So, Harry, the magnetic platter is still an available upgrade for the HRX? Fantastic!!
I consider the two most desired future upgrades for my HR-X are the magnetic platter and a 14 inch or longer 3D printed Fat Boy!! I would have no reason to ever purchase another turntable.

The Magnetic drive upgrade is available and I am looking at a 14" arm right now. I guess you are set for the next few years.

All experiments are done with metal arm tubes, very thin wall stainless or aluminum. When the prototyping is done we go to 3D printing and check our work that way. it is a process that work and proves the original idea.

From there we decide the amount of effective mass and how much 3D printing needs to be done.

The dual motor HRX flywheel rim drive cannot be retro fitted to a Classic series table. The magnetic drive platter can be factory fitted to a Classic table with some plinth/bearing modifications.

With respect to retro-fitting a direct drive to a Classic series table, IMHO it would not be cost effective due to the fact that the only salvageable parts would be the plinth and the top plate that would require extensive modification.

Hi Harry

Will the new table include the magnetic drive platter as standard or as a option?

Thanks
