Still searching for answers on the platter bearing issue on my Classic 3 and found this thread. Is the piece being discussed a complete replacement of the platter shaft, bearing and bottom donut?

Is this difficult to replace - is there a process on how to replace it?

Thanks you for digging up this thread suntea.

I maybe too late to the game.

Harry, by any chance do you still have one available? If not, could you make one for me? I can send you a picture of the under belly of my Classic.

Can VPI reveal the nut thread specs size for 2nd gen Classic 1? Since I'm so far away on the other side of the world, I could get one machined locally. The existing one is a black delrin locking nut. I assure its for personal and own use.

You will all be happy to know we now finally have a load of these bearing bells (doughnuts?) so whoever wants one contact me at hw@hwsworkshop.com

It has been a long haul to get stock on this as we were really busy with a million other things but I have at lest 100 pcs. laying around.

Not sure if it sounds better but it really looks good, problem is it costs considerably more to make that what we normally use now.

Are these still available? My platter to replace the acrylic one is scheduled to arrive today or tomorrow and am thinking this might bring a little bling to the table.

I believe that these are now standard on the Prime Signature.

The platter arrived but the bearing is too short to pass all the way through the TNT plinth. Well that was one month waiting for nothing.
