I have the audioquest Niagara 1000 along with the thunder power cable and it a made huge difference in my system. More defined base, less sibilance and just a more pleasing overall sound was a lower noise floor. Best recent upgrade to my system
VPI Prime with ortofon 2m black, Manley Chinook phono preamp, Wyred4sound STP-SE preamp, parasound halo a21 amp, Ascend acoustics tower speakers with RAAL ribbon tweeters, audio sensibility signature cables

I've never had success with power conditioners - they all exhibited warts after a time....... I do have a whole house surge protector that protects, and sounds better after installation. It was put in by an electrician in the mains box.

I have a whole house conditioner.....protection for everything, and no down side. All power conditioners I've tried have warts of some kind.
