PERSONIAL OPINION My first choice with your budget would be the VAS NOVA and a step up from bobs. I agree if I were in New Jersey I would certainly go see Matt and or Harry if I had the opportunity

Really what's the worst thing that can happen gong to the VPI house?? You walk out having to have a Second Mortgage on your house,,, :lol: :D

Auditorium 23 makes good SUTs too, be aware you need grounded interconnects between the SUT and phono stage to avoid hum. Both Bob and Auditorium make their own product-matched ICs, for $495 and $395, respectively.
