If BRF had wanted to solve it, he would have, no?

That makes absolutely no sense. Brf was inadvertently locked out of his account by Mat/VPI

Don’t you think he knew he was locked out?

Don’t you think he could have asked that the problem be fixed by phone or email off the forum?

Let it go …

Leave him alone and he’ll come home, wagging his tail behind him.

Or not ….

Another nonsensical response.

Mat is aware of the issue and is the only person who can unlock or fix the problem.

It’s not non-sensical at all. I think Peer Gynt’s point is that if Brf had wanted to continue to participate in the Forum, he could easily have done so, either by enrolling again using a different user name and password or by contacting Mat, who could have had VPI’s Web administrator let Brf in. It’s a simple fix; it’s not rocket science. However, Brf chose to do neither of those things, which indicates to me that Brf or VPI had decided that Brf should withdraw from the Forum. By the way, how many other members were locked out in the course of the website transition- - only the Administrator? At this point, my interest in this is akin to solving a puzzle: Why does someone, who has devoted huge amounts of his time to a discussion group, suddenly ( Brf’s participation didn’t taper off.) cease to participate at all without any explanation to his pen pals. It’s surely not worthy of Agatha Cristie, but it is a neat little unsolved psychological mystery. Rich

PS. What percentage of all recent posts is represented by the two “Brf” threads, and what does that tell you.

What mystery??

1- Brf was out of the country for a good part of the summer.
2- Sometime during his absence his account was inadvertently locked
3- Brf sent an email to VPI informing them that his account is locked
4- Brf did not escalate the issue as he knew that the forum was being redesigned, the traffic was very slow, and the forum continued to operate as usual
5- Mat acknowledge that he more than likely locked Brf out during some forum testing as he is a co-administrator.
6- There is no riff between Brf and VPI
7- Mat’s very busy with staffing, supply chain, and running the business.
8- Brf will be back
