Tonight,..
it's Pink Floyd-
The Wall - a 1979 US TML first pressing.
This copy I purchased way back in the early 00's, when vinyl was all but extinct, for next to nothing compared to its value in that condition today. It was still sealed the Hype sticker intact. My original copy from when I was a kid (13 in 1979) is pretty well worn out, I picked up the latest remastered version, which remains still sealed. I'm looking forward to playing it on my the VPI turntable, once I choose one! I picked up the entire catalog of recent remastered Floyd releases, opening 2 thus far, and I love them.
Next up, an original Promo pressing of Roger Waters Amused To Death. I also have Analog Productions 2015 remaster of ATD and the Double Picture Disc. Currently waiting on Analog Productions 4 disc 45 RPM ATD pre-order to be released. ATD feels like the sequel to The Wall and The Final Cut together. The latter feels like rather more like an extension of The Wall, than its successor.
Not entirely unlike the wait for Represses of the MOFI 45 RPM Dire Straits catalog, which I'm kicking myself for not preordering both times. The ST Dire Straits, Brothers In Arms,.. Hell the entire 45 RPM DS catalog are something I very much look forward to hearing on the new VPI. That is if MOFI ever gets around to repressing enough for us common folk First run they were forever and all the reviewer's got their copies, as did preorders, then they ran out.
I'm a Pink Floyd fan, could you tell.. ??
