VPI Warriors

VPI Warriors

Postby Mat » Sat Aug 15, 2015 3:21 pm

Hi all! I'm finally recovering from Hong Kong! We had a great show but I had some medical issues that were a bit scary for a bit but all resolved now and I'm on the road to recovery. I had a minor allergic reaction that a Hong Kong doctor mis-diagnosed, which led to everything taking a terrible turn! All positive now and slowly getting better! :)

In other news our two videos are finally finished and published on youtube!

Hope everyone enjoys!

Wow, sorry you had to go through something like that. A long time ago in a far away land I was flying a USAF C-130 supporting the July 4 Independence Day Celebrations in the Pacific Theater. I think we were on Guadalcanal that day. The cargo was the Marine Marching Band Of The Pacific and a Dixieland Jazz Band. Boondogle? Training? Legit? It was a fun mission! Anyway, There was a C-12 Learjet crew there and the Captain got sick, he and his copilot went to the local hospital and took one look and his copilot dragged him back to the hotel and asked me to take him to the nearest US military hospital ASAP. We were airborne in minutes and got him treated by an American military physician at the nearest USAF base. Turns out it was basically food poisoning. Its a drag you had to make that allergy discovery in a very foreign land. There are nasty bugs and unusual ingredients out there in planet and our internal systems can be caught unawares. There is a lot to be said for the high standards of food cleanliness and also care we receive from our well trained and equipped medical staffs here in the states. In a way it is just tough luck you got sick over there, an allergic reaction is serious stuff! Good to hear you got it cured eventually.

Still no comment on what looks like an HW-19 with a gimbal tonearm in the second video?
