black rubber washer

hello people, just set up my new prime! so far loving it. my question is when do i use rubber spindle washer? im using a platter matt, so does it go under the matt? or do i lay down the matt and put washer over the top of matt? thanks in advance

The rubber washer always goes under the record i.e on top of the mat.

The washer should be only used with the clamp, otherwise it will attempt to float the record.

Washer plus clamp and no washer at all will both have the same vta setting.
