Have fun today. We are here to help if you need it. There is also a good bread and butter Prime setup video on YouTube if you have not seen it. There is a link on the VPI website.

I have seen it, thanks! I don't really anticipate any setup issues, but you never know! :)

Beautiful words on the UPS website: "OUT FOR DELIVERY"

Normally, "END OF DAY" has meant end of the next day for me. I'm still scratching my head sometimes.

It got here around noon. Just finished initial setup....a little fidgety, but not too difficult. The only issue I had was that the longest cartridge mount screws they included were a bit too short. Luckily, I had another set that worked. That 3D headshell is thicker than I'm used to! Serious listening begins this evening, once I wrap up that confounded work stuff. :D

Looks awesome. The fun starts now.

Do you use the anti-skate assembly? If so, I would re-dress the tonearm/lemo wire for a more neutral presentation.

I didn't. I'm running it just as VPI recommends for now. I'll play with AS later. Maybe even not until I get a Soundsmith cartridge for it. I'm still uncertain about that "controversy".

Half a dozen albums tonight, and I'm mightily impressed. There's just no sense of having a turntable in the playback chain. No bearing noise way below the music. Just silence between tracks. And the arm! Using my Sonus Gold/Blue, which I've had for years and know quite well, I'm hearing all sorts of details I've never heard before! String buzzes, stronger piano attacks, more shimmery cymbals. The reviews I'd read weren't joking...this thing just gets out of the way and lets the cartridge do it's thing, unimpeded and unconstrained.

Very happy indeed, and looking forward to more! :)
