Hey everyone, anyone know of a good supplier of black acrylic? I need to make an arm board for my HW19. Any help would be appreciated.

You might run into an issue with a minimum order size, but that's easily solved by selling any extras. 8-)

Never thought about wood. Any suggestions as to which would be best? The would be a heck if alot cheaper than buying an arm board. I also could make it what ever thickness I wanted to.

If you decide to go the wood route;
You want something well aged in a moisture controlled environment. (shrinkage stabilized)
You can make a laminate from smaller cheaper pieces, Titebond is strong glue but hide glue might have better Sonics.
The denser woods have oils that need to be removed before gluing. (Use acetone or lacquer thinner)
The denser woods can create toxic dust, protect yourself.
Price usually goes up with wood density.
The final price could easily exceed the cost of plastic.
MDF would be stable and cheap and could be veneered with a nice hard wood.
If it just doesn’t sound correct to you, you may have to make another arm board.
Your labor is free.

I had many wood arm boards made for my TNT. Materials used included Gabon Ebony, Ironwood, Panzerholz, Rosewood, Clavellin, and Purple Heart.
