Queing mechanism too short

Queing mechanism too short

Postby aprumi » Mon Sep 16, 2019 7:09 pm

I just got an open box Prime Scout and am trying to go through the setup process. I am unable to use the queing mechanism. The arm functions and everything seems to be ok but when I raise it it doesn't even touch the tonearm. I tried raising the whole mechanism but it only goes so far because of the lever. The screw on top looks like it is just to secure the actual arm itself. I need help or I may have to just return the whole unit.

I have little experience with the Prime Scout’s tonearm but if lift mechanism is at its highest point and the lift platform does not engage the tonearm, i would hazard a guess that the tonearm is missing the lift bumper. Please see this link for a picturehttp://www.vpiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1080. Google picture frame bumpers for a source for purchase. Most hardware stores or craft stores carry them. 10 second fix.
