I did more adjustments. But because the spike has worn down the cartridge barely touch the vpi jig when lining up the cartridge with the white dot on the jig.

This is what Azimuth looks like using a test record. See pictures.

My guess is that your original supposition is correct: The blunted spike prevents the bell housing from seating properly. Brf’s thought that the inside of the bell housing may be scored (very clever) is also a possibility, although I think it’s less likely. Something else you mentioned caused me to wonder whether you’ve raised the spike too high, thereby causing tilt. As far as wobbly goes, unless I’m misunderstanding you, that’s characteristic of unipivot tonearms. Rich
