Pictures really don't do this beautiful monster justice, but looks and sound are just unbelievable. I'm coming from a Traveler V2 so not really a fair comparison, but I can actually hear the layering in the music now. Detail is incredible, dynamics are improved, and the bass is so much more articulate, it's spooky at times. All the instruments seem to occupy a more 3D space now, as opposed to a wall of sound, for lack of a better term. Also, hats off to Matt and the VPI crew for the newly designed finger lift on the Reference arm. Love the smaller finger lift.

P.S. I've got more photos, but they display sideways and that drives me nuts!

Guss 2,

Congratulations!! I'll be waiting for the photos of the arm and which finger lift you have. It's wonderful when your great anticipation is rewarded with equally great satisfaction!! Btw, which cartridge did you choose to install? Enjoy, and let the music play!!

Thanks for the comments guys. The new finger lift is so tiny, yet very cool. It is barely over 1 1/4 inch long and you can hardly notice it. It's angled slightly different, but not much. It just stays the hell out of the way. Where my Traveler stuck out under the finger cut out of it's dust cover. I'm using a relatively inexpensive, yet very nice sounding Ortofon Vigor that's been discontinued. These aren't great pictures, so I hope you can gain some perspective from them.
