Would you mind telling us what is under the motor butcher blocks and TT block?

Looks great Tony. Do you have any issues with the motor sliding on the Fat Pad?

@Mr_Putty, @jonathanb got it right. Symposium Fat Padz. As to sliding, no it doesn't... buuuutttt I'm not sure this is the best arrangement. You'll note the motor is sitting on two Butcher Block Acoustics blocks. At the time I ordered I wasn't sure if I was going to need a single 1-3/4" block or a 3" block. So I ordered two of the shorter blocks to give me the flexibility I thought I needed. Turns out the 3" block would have been the right one - the two blocks stacked like this are not ideal. They don't slip, but neither are they as good as one block in acting as a mass for vibration sinking. So that will need to be replaced. Next, the Fat Padz are good but I have three Stillpoints Ultra Minis under the blocks. I think frankly the Stillpoints will be a better sink for motor vibrations if they are right under the motor - but I'd like to use four for that so I could screw them right into the motor (I only have three). I tried the three minis under the motor with my old setup and they were too fiddly. My assumption was borne out from checking the wow and flutter with Adjust Plus+ after I set this up. The numbers are slightly worse than what I was getting before. My conclusion is this erector set under the motor needs to be simplified and more straightforward for stabilizing the motor.

Tony22,
Thanks for the details on the motor part that was my first question. My second question is what is under the platform the turntable are sitting on. Whatever it is seems to be very thin.
As always thanks for any info.

Under the maple block? That’s 3/4” 13-ply Baltic Birch. I needed something big enough to cover the footprint of the table, motor, two arms plus the ICs sticking out from the junction boxes, and still be large enough to support my own DIY cover over the whole thing (a cut down 28”x28” FedEx shipping box  ).

Tony22,
Apologies for my not being specific enough. Do I understand the maple block rests directly on your Baltic Birch platform? I thought I saw a small gap between the two.
