Gimbaled 10inch 3D arm

Gimbaled 10inch 3D arm

Postby twentyhertz » Fri Nov 09, 2018 2:32 pm

I've always liked the sound of the unipivot JMW arms but never loved the feel or the (in my opinion) finicky set up. Bob @ Bob's devices had been suggesting the 3D arm as an upgrade every time I call him for anything :) and I decided to try one after frustrating setup challenges with my new VAS Nova/HW cart. I was saying I wished I could swing a fatboy because I'd love to try the gimbaled arm and he said he'd sold a few 10" (non-fatboy) 3D gimbaled arms and people were very satisfied. I didn't even know they made them. Long story short, I got one and I love it. I obviously can't compare to the 3D unipivot but this arm sounds easily as good as my classic 3 and the handling is a dream. Plus it looks badass. Love it!

Very nice!

Is that a regular 3D gimbal or a Fatboy gimbal? They both look very similar.

Thank You! I'm super pleased with the table. I'm convinced the arm was a very worthy upgrade. It seems to have brought a higher level of spatial resolution to the table (no pun intended) I'm actually so pleased with my whole set up. Sometimes I play a record as background while I'm doing something, and it sounds so good it just stops me, and I find myself stuck listening, smiling.
