What if...

We made a full blown showroom that expanded beyond the "VPI House"? ;)

Sounds great, but where would it be and would there be only one?

I'd love to suggest South Florida, but, well, you know.

Yes, it would be a fun and to a certain extent a self-indulgent exercise but it would only benefit a few. IMHO, VPI's time, money and resources would be better spent on quality control, product refinement, better manuals and instructional videos, better customer services with a focus on both existing and new customers. Over the years I have seen a shift towards more and more marketing and promotion and less focus on the actual product and the details. Just my opinion.

Mat, Are you speaking of a stand-alone showroom without a sales feature. If so, I don't see the objective. Off hand, I think only Ferrari and several other car manufacturers have opted for this form of marketing in New York City. They probably present a unique case. Some marquee companies in other product sectors, such as Nike, Sony and Rolex, have combined showroom marketing with retail sales to showcase their products, but, on a stand-alone basis, these stores lose money.

It'd be interesting to hear more about your showroom thinking. Rich

Just another distraction and resource drain. No need for it...Waste of resources, time and money....That is of course unless you want to put it in Dallas and let me work there as a fun part time job in retirement! :D

This was meant to be more of tease of what is to come but maybe not as exciting as I had thought... keep in mind this would be REPLACING the existing listening house. :)
