Hello Mat and congratulations for the new member. I plan to buy the prime 21. What is the mass of the new arm? Will my Dynavector XXII Mk2 be a suitable cartridge for this arm?
Second question is according to your tests, how does it compare to the unipivot arm on the new plinth?
I understand that the new arm is more easy to use , but is there any noteworthy change in terms of tracking or sound?

I have no direct experience with the new Prime 21 3D printed Gimbal arm, but I would assume with a high degree of confidence that it would have a similar effective mass as the former VPI Companion Gimbal arm. In other words, it will work spectacularly with the Dyna XX2

Thanks Brf. Now, as far as the sound is concerned, are there any differences? Many people seem to favor unipivots over gimbals. Any direct comparison between the new gimbal and the unipivot?

Uni vs Gimbal.....all boils down to preference. I use a Uni 12-3D Reference and a Fatboy 12-Gimbal and enjoy both.

Ok. I get the point. So, the only thing to wait for is the walnut plinth version. Thanks Brf.
