It should be a signature edition of something. You and your Dad should both have signatures inscribed, laser engraved, or whatever.

How about a Prime Signature in something like Cocobolo? Include the outer ring, and a special edition Soundsmith or Grado cartridge.

Another idea would be a special edition of the VPI Brick, with signatures, maybe at a special price point to make it attractive to folks who might not otherwise buy something of this type.

My bad. Yes, Harry. I knew what I wanted to type. But somewhere along the line, Harry came out Henry. At least I didn't call him Harriett.

I’ve giving this some thought and I would like to see a 40th anniversary Signature edition of the Prime/Classic Platter that would be backwards compatible with all VPI products and standard on every production table with a 40th anniversary designation.

The 40th anniversary platter would be a 1/2” of pure aged CU999 copper bonded to 1.5” of aluminum and internally damped. This would be awesome and I hope VPI gives this some serious consideration.

Incredible idea, and worthy of serious consideration. VPI 40th Anniversary Super Platter!! While you're at it, how about a 40th Anniversary Mag Drive Platter!
